I got a Harlequin a couple months ago and put in my display to rid some microstars well either he is eating them slowly or they are multiplying faster than he can eliminate them, because there numbers are still great. I am thinking of adding a second but don't want to add to of the same sex and have a blood bath. 60 gallon cube. Any advice?

At my LFS they have multiples in much smaller tanks... but long term I dunno.

I've done a bit more reading based upon my "iffy" response lol. Seems its okay for opposite sex pairs but not same sex. Apparently if you can find the opposite sex they're prolific breeders. You can ID sex by abdomen size.

I was really hoping to see a difference after 2 months. How long does it usually take for these guys to eradicate asterinas?
