Hi all,

I may (or may not) come into a second pair of clowns for free (long story). So we're playing "What ifs" here.

75g reef tank. Presently already have a pair of clowns. Female is about 3 years old (maybe 4) and is pretty large. They haven't "mated", but bonded pair. (standard Occy and black picasso)

The pair that may (or may not) come my way is a black and white bonded pair.. not mated and very young judging by the small sizes.

My plans for converting my 10 gal cube to SW hasn't happened and probably won't any time too soon because of the livestock in it presently, or the clowns would go in there.

Putting the new pair into the 75 gal tank.. what's the chance they'll get along and have success?

Could you break up the pairs for a while? Be far more likely to get on if they aren't already bonded.

Not going to be a good outcome in that size tank I'm afraid. I've just decided not to do this in my 5x2x2 as I think it is still too risky. It's always nice to get a freebie but it's not worth losing fish because of it.
