Adding silicone to new aquarium seams

Hey guys, I purchased a new 50g zoomed lowboy frag tank. I was considering adding some silicone to the inside seam of the tank for extra support. Would this make a difference or am I just wasting my time? Thanks.

Not unless you make the seams really big. Or the old seams have eroded. Most of the strength comes from the adhesive between glass panels.

Waste of time imo. I know they seem like there's very little silicone on them but silicone is alot stronger than you'd think.

Only the stuff between the glass plates really matter. Most reef tanks have all the silicone ripped apart within a year always
