Adding sump

Hello folks,
I’m new to the hobby and needing some help from you all. I have a 24gal aquatop cube which I have to constantly replenish evaporated water. I think a sump would help add volume so that I don’t have to add top off water as often. Any recommendations as to how to set this up? Hanging overflow + sump + pump? Sorry if any questions are dumb. Thanks for the help!

You still have to do your top offs. More if not the same because of the more surface area with the sump. The benefit comes when you can hide the ato(auto top off) below and out of site. As well as other equipment.
So if you can't drill the tank, a hang on overflow would be the way to go. A tank or some vessel that holds water and a pump to get the water back up. You can diy most of not all the items in the plumbing part. A quick search will get you started.
