So I’m looking at adding some t5’s to my led’s in the canopy. I may go with a couple of the sun blasters since they have a very thin footprint. However I came upon a cheap 6ft odyssey 4 bulb setup locally.

Would it look weird or give me an issue with too much light in the front, having the fixture mounted in the front part of the canopy then move the the led’s back maybe an inch which are the mars aqua boxes?

I would not, I recently had a 4 ft odessya t5 fixture ballasts catch fire. This literally happened the other day.

I would recommend the reefbrite supra t5 fixtures. I run 2 singles on my 180 for supplementation and I also replaced the odessya with a dual bulb supra over my daughter's freshwater tank.

I have had great luck with the "LITLIGHTING" T5 retro fit kits from BRS...I especially like the super thin/light weight ballast.

I bought a used setup years ago that included an Odyssey 4x80w T5 fixture, likely the same one you're looking at. Out of curiosity I ripped it apart and the ballasts were these tiny little 2x54W ballasts that had some serious heat issues because they were all discolored, including the metal housing. I'd avoid.
