Adding T5 to my kessil...thoughts

Hey everyone so I am looking to add a single T5 light on top of my 40 nuvo, I am currently running kessil A360W tuna blue and I get great growth, noted that my tank is all zoas, over 100 different ones. I am looking to kinda spread out and have some even spread in my light. I notice some zoas stretch that are located near the side of the tank. So I guess what Iam asking is this a good idea, I want to use the glo light on amazon single ATI blue plus bulb and place it on the front or back of the tank with the legs. Thanks!!

If it ain't broke why fix it? Can you raise the Kessil up and turn the power up a bit to get more spread?

I have it as far as it will go, my intensity is at 90% I just thought maybe T5 would add a bit more to coloration and growth. And spread more light out more evenly. I don't know yet just a thought..

Anyone looking to add a single t5 with a kessil on a nuvo do it , this was 44 bucks on Amazon and it's a glo light!

Looks great!! I just did a 4 bulb t5 led hybrid with 2 gen4 xr15s. Put it up yesterday it's awesome to see so many people doing lights like that and your tank looks amazing. I bet pictures can't do justice to how great that tank looks!!

wow your tank is packed and looks great. I've been thinking of adding this same light to my 40b. I recently switched up the setting on my halos and have been getting great color. my tank is mostly sps do you have any acros in your tank if so did you notice any difference in them as well.

I only have three Montis that grow super great , seasons greeting , jf slow burn, and a rainbow montipoara. The color has def improved with the t5 . I tryed adding a purple Stylo the other day and it died in like 6 hours lol weird. I am a only zoa guy at this point prob have well over 100 different ones

Very nice selection of zoas! T5 Blue Plus you can not go wrong with. True Actinic is sick for growth, but the purple muddy line on the LR is an eyesore. Front to back ATI B+, C+, B+, TA 40B.

wow 100 different types of zoas thats awesome. i also really like zoas i recently got rid of a rock with about 40 rasta polyps. it looked sweet but ive switched my tank up so they took up to much space.

Tank looks great. Im considering adding the same T5 Blue Plus set up to my zoa cube. Do you turn on the T5 at the same time as your kessil and leave it on the same schedule as your Kessil? Or is it on a different time schedule? I'd love to see more growth from my more expensive zoas like Bowzers and upcoming purchases.

That's my 2013 Red Sea S Series that came factory with a 10 bulb T5 canopy.
I don't like the new S Series led Hydra's. It does not give corner to corner spread.

I love my old canopy and when Kessil released the a80's last fall it got me thinking.

It took 7 hours to complete the mod. Had to band saw and sand down the 5" heat sinks to 3.75" to fit the 2 bulb t5 mid section. But it turned out great and my lighting mods are over.

From the outside it looks factory and you can't spot a wire anywhere.

Also, I've have been running Kessil's since 2012 when they first released the old a350w so I'm used to Kessil.

I was worried if the A80's could do the job so I called Kessil and they said along as I ran two T5's it would do the job for my 24" deep tank.

Well, They were spot on.
