Adding T5's to Radions

Does anyone have any experience with these two T5 retrofit systems.....Hamilton Aruba sun v shaped kit or the razor T5 kit giesemann?? I want to add 2 bulbs in the front and 2 bulbs in the back of my gen 3 pros on my 220....anyone have any experience with these?

Well I guess I'm asking about the actual retrofit fixtures and if anyone has used either one of of those I listed....

The giesemann kit is easier to work with as it just has two spots to mount the lamps from.

I started with 2 T5 added to my 4 Radions and recently added 2 more. Cant say I've noticed a huge difference but the tank appears much brighter and better lit with less shadows, which is a look that's growing on me. I started with a B+ and C+ and thought it was a nice combo. Now I'm running 2 B+, Actinic, and C+ and looks even better! I started with about 3 hours and slowly ramped up to about 7-8 hrs on the B+ and Actinic, and about 4-5 hrs for the additional B+ and C+.

I made a rack out of aluminum tubing and it bolts through the existing the Ecotech Rack/Rails. I still need to run the cables through the walls.

Has anybody else experienced issues with the radions thinking that you are pushing buttons when the T5's turn on? I ended up having to turn off the button function because it was the only way to stop the lights from going crazy when the T5 turned on. I called ecotech and they said it has something to do with certain T5's putting out radio waves that interfere with the radions frequency..... :-/

Not a super huge issue, but still slightly annoying

Yep, it's now easily solved by turning off the buttons from Ecosmart Connection Manager. Step 1. Go to ecosmartlive.com and log in. Step 2. Go to Menu -> Download Connection Manager. Once it's downloaded and installed, hook up each one of the RADIONS to your computer with a USB cord while Connection Manager is running then go to the connection manager icon -> USB Radion ->disable radion buttons. This works for either Reef-Link or Apex based Radions. Hope this helps.

Yea, I said in my OP that that's what I did. I was curious how many people were having this issue.

just added brs t5ho 2x 24" kit last week.
My original plan was to buy 2 blue+, BRS was out of them and happened to read about the E5 and ended up ordering them. Couple hours later after posting to local club Eric mentioned that really just adding more LED to my Evergrow IT2040. So then I went ahead and ordered the blue+ and purple plus based on this video which helped me decide what bulbs to go with. Recieved the E5 last week and got the blue+ and purple+ in today. Will be checking par with the different bulbs once I get time to pick up a rental.

Here is my very crude thrown together setup. Some point I will put something nice together but I wanted this up and running. Sorry about crappy cell pic.

I have a Fusion 40 same tank. Do you have anything covering the light? My wife would never let that in HER living room. [emoji3]

Get 2x retrofit kits like the one by coral vue. Two pieces of aluminum corners. Drill holes and screw them to existing mount perpendicularly. Attach retrofit kits to aluminum mounts using nuts and bolts voila ;)
