I’d like to add a pair of tangs into my system. Originally the plan was to add two at the same time. My understanding is that if neither has established themselves in the tank it will result in less aggression. however my LFS has a very healthy Scopas currently. If I stagger the addition of a Scopas and Tomini by 4-5 weeks am I inviting trouble?

90 gallons, currently only has a pair of clowns and an Adorned wrasse
I think that might be a little small for two tangs, but the only way it might work is if you put them both in at the exact same time at the exact same size, in my opinion. If one is bigger than the other it’s just going to bully the other like crazy.

I have a 100 gallon display. I had a tomini tang in my tank for 3 months and then added a yellow tang. The tomini showed aggression that day and by the next morning they were perfectly fine.

Thanks for sharing. I’ll probably just stick to my original plan and order them together. On another note I was thinking about growing maco algae in my sump to feed my future tangs. Is this a crazy idea? If not do you have any recommendations?
