the correct way to plumb a UV is a closed loop off the tank you want to affect , with a slow enough pump that dwell time is good enough for contact exposer. you could just build the loop and hang of off the side of the tank with a small pump, try to locate your return water into the stream from a power head or your return, and pull from and area not in the stream.

I am running the AA green killing machine 24 watts but sadly you cannot fit it in any rear chamber, so it’s on the back wall on the DT. Since it’s black like the back wall it’s not a terrible eye sore.
