I notice that a lot of people look to add more yellow into their tanks and go crazy over the yellow acros that come on the market. A lot of those "yellow acros" turn green with time, but one true yellow coral seems to be over looked a lot. Yellow porites... why is that?

Great question, and may have the answer as I've been looking for one local or a local Reefer to trade with on and off for 8-10 years without success. Could not even tell you the last time I've seen one online anywhere. So for me a nice Yellow Sarcophyton aka 'Fiji Leather' and my Yellow Tang...lol

Cheers, Todd

P.S. Very nice Coral

I like to go with the Pink Lemonade Acro. Very beautiful addition and has a green yellow pigment. More yellow I would say.

The Yellow acros only turn green because of the hobbyist tank prams...I have yellow sticks that hold color great and get better and better... pink lemonade is one of the best yellow sticks to hit the market...I think we all go crazy over a true yellow anything because its a hard color to come by in the hobby and is always supper bright...

I love yellow but the real hard color to find is orange...I lost this one a few years ago and have never seen one since...I wish I would of been smart and cut a few back up frags of this one...its one of the corals that makes me sad to talk about

Thanks TJ! I wonder why it's not more common? Maybe a vendor will see this and offer some insight. Good luck in finding one...I'd give you a frag if I still lived in WA.

Reefer...Those are all beautiful! I do have pink lemonade and another with yellow tips and red polyps like your Atlantis one, although more of a purple base. I just really like the plain solid yellow that the porites has and hardly ever see it. I don't really look for orange because I have a mixed reef and there are mushrooms, chalices, montiporas, sponges, zoas, that all have some nice oranges...but that mille was fantastic!

Little bit of porites love.
Got this as a 1" frag from Joe at Atlantis 2 years ago.
This thing has survived 2 tank crashes( due to moving) in that time. The thing is a beast!
