Hi. I was wondering if anyone adds anything to their tank after a water change.

I have been adding Seachem New Tank Stabilization System, I bought it when I started the tank and it said to use every water change.

I am running out and was wondering if I should get more, or something else, or use nothing.

Thanks.

I was using ro water which was at about 7 to 10 ppm on the tds meter. I am looking to buy an ro/di buddie shortly as the place I was get the water from is closed due to covid-19.

Im on day 14 new setup...bio 32 live rock and fish for now...havent had any level except possible false reading of .25 ammonia on API ammonia test...should i do a water change yet?

How long did you cycle your tank? did you skip the cycling process before adding fish? Or are you cycling with the fish? I’m confused. Also why Do you think the .25 reading be inaccurate? If it is, you may want to take a sample to your LFS if it’s open to check it or get another test kit if you don’t trust the API. If you are in the middle of a cycle then yes your ammonia will be rising if there’s not enough nitrifying bacteria in the tank. So if you are in the cycling process you can add bacteria if if that is a true number. What are your nitrates? Have you gotten any nitrite readings? If your cycling is complete and it’s false then you don’t need to add bacteria anymore. If you are only two weeks into a tank and you haven’t done a water change yet and it is very likely that that is a true ammonia value and your cycle is not complete.
