I just started up a new tank was out of the hobby for about 3 years, i decided to get back into it i would stick to the LPS side of things for the time beings, such as acans, chalices and z and p's, just curious to what people are using for supplements such as aminos, coral vitalizers, etc, i know there are so many our there and i have used some of them as well in the first 7 years i was in the hobby, but being out so long got disconnected just curious what people are running. i know w/c's help but looking for something i can dose once or twice a week that people have found it helps even if it is just a little bit. I have a 29 bio cube currently and will be upgrading to a 45g cube in the next few months. I was looking at the zeovit nano power pack, koraline aminos, brightwell or fauna marine, just curious if anyone has experience good or bad, as i am just like everyone else trying to get better color and growth. if you need more info on my tank be more than happy to provide.

thanks in advance.

Rich

I spot feed Mysis thawed in Zoecon/Vitamin C to them every 2-3 days, 1-2 times a week Zeovit Coral Food and nightly Polyp Lab Reef Roids for feeding. I do not dose anything except 2 Part and everything seems to be doing very well.

Thanks for the info, i haven't had any problems as of yet just want to be a head of the game. So thanks ill look into those, have you had any experience with the zeovit nano pack?

Depends on what all comes in the Nano Pack. I'd look into the Zeovit Amino Acid, Coral Food, and Phol Xtra Special. Lots of people have reported good things about them and I myself am looking into trying them in the near future to help with growth and color.

I don't use any additives and my acans are doing good. I use D&D salt.

I just started dosing A and B, but that's more for my new start in acros.

Thanks for the info I've had many say just do water changes and make sure levels are on for LPS most people told me for sps only which when I had my sps tank I did and it helped just wanted people's thoughts on LPS as in the beginning I never had LPS

I spot feed mysis, and oyster feast. My tank is LPS only so I get to run it a little dirtier which most LPS like. The biggest thing though is find a spot for it and don't mess with it. Make sure it's glued or epoxyed. A stable spot is key for growth.

i throw a mix of shrimp, roe, squid, etc in a blender and blend until it water thin. I use this when the lights are off and growth is fantastic.

I started spot feeding mysis early this week so far so good and also some oyster feast and cyclops as well, I'll post some pics in the next day or to have surgery today so probably won't get to it tonight.

I also added a few that my buddy was holding onto so I'll post pics of those as well

I think I'm gonna hold off on any additives since seems like they aren't really needed right now

Thanks again everyone for your input

I have used 2 part by Kent, I also use their zooplex liquid and phytomax.....all my lps are very healthy...just be careful not to use too much....good luck...welcome back to the addiction!!!

Thanks good to be back ya I'm gonna take it slow and see how everything responds I'll post some pics soon

Thanks everyone for your input
