Hi Everyone,
So i'm now on the 23rd day of cycling my RS Max C250 tank using the Red Sea mature Starter Kit, see attached photo.
I'll be adding a clean up crew tomorrow.
The tank consists of live sand and real reef rock.
I'll be adding fish and corals not to far in the future so my question is, what type of supplements or additives would i need to be dosing if any and when do i need to start dosing if needed?

No. All you need is water changes right now.

If you are using the nopox in the nature kit you can stop too.

Hi Aslam, all you need to remember is don’t add anything unless you’ve tested for it and the levels are low so you need to add it.

At the moment all you need to do is normal maintenance and then water changes and that should keep things on track for a while.

There are so many additives out there that I appreciate it can feel like you need to add them but you don’t, unless they are needed.

Keep testing all your parameters at least weekly like alkalinity, phosphate etc., and just try and maintain stable levels, that’s it. Stability is the key to a reef tank as marine life doesn’t like changes to the water. Your just a ‘keeper of water’ and if you do that well, you should be ok.
