Doc...

This one's from waaaaaay out in left field...

Working on a contraption to house heaters, dosing lines (alk, cal, mag), and a top off float switch in a sumpless reef tank. Water through teeth in the top forced out the bottom via a pump all in an enclosure. Space will be tight but I may end up having enough room for bagged media that water will be forced to go through. From a chemistry perspective, is it foolhardy to have the additives run through media bags filled with, say, Purigen and Phosgard or similar?

Thanks, as always.

Yes, use larger media such as Phosguard (very well rinsed) or Purigen or GAC (I like ROX) rather than fine particles such as GFO would seem a fine plan if you can get the water to flow through it. :)
