I have a 180 gallon tank, 60”x26”x26”, and I am currently running 4x AI Sol super blue, 2x Kessil A360we, and 1 kessil A150 sky blue.
Is this enough light?
Trying to grow BTAs, RFAs, mushrooms, softies, challices, some lps and a few across. I also have a large maxima clam.
Thanks!
Here are the apex graphs for power and color throughout the day

Probably fine. Yea.

If you don’t have a par meter , you can buy a cheap lux meter.

You’re looking for 35,000 lux or more at the top of the water.

I think that you will probably be OK too... but a meter will tell you what you need to know.

I would keep the maxima under the center "cone" of one or more of those lights.

He is.
Here is a picture, the maxima is center right, directly under one of the kessils.

I do fine with clams, Anemones, lps, softies, and even Nps. I just have an issue with sps- I thought it was my lights but maybe it is something else. I know that my base 3 aren’t very good but I have not found a way to regulate them very well without a dosing system. I am getting a calcium reactor and I hope that will helpZ

The calcium reactor should help but why not try just dripping kalkwasser first?

What is your water change schedule like?

I am trying not do water changes, (I dont have the time to do them on they weekends, and I have school during the week)
I end up doing them about once a month, about 50 gallons.
How much are how often should I add kalk?

There is a good discussion on kalk by Randy Holmes Farley.

It specifically talks about maintaining alk and calcium with it and proposed dosing.

I can't find the link for some reason. Must be at home.

Search for it on the chemistry forum here on R2R.

Got it, Thanks!
