Adjusting the flow during night

I think you can change it or not and it won't really matter either way. I turn mine down at night because I run a lot of flow and I like the fish to be able to relax a little while hiding for the night. It's just something I do with no evidence it matters. I've read comments on this subject from people that dive and they say while the waves on shore seem to calm down at night the current on the reefs does not calm down.

Idk, flow settings should never change… one being the water surface agitation may cause changes in the PH (it does)… but kinda common sense when thinking about waste… one week you have clean sand… the other you have built up nutrients that help other unwanted stuff to thrive… with the fact of dropping the flow.

I kinda take this idea and applied it to human life… every day there is wind here on earth… you walk outside and you will still be hit with the slightest breeze… well that doesn’t change at night… neither should the flow at day change at night for the fish and corals… that’s just how I think of it…
