bumping and old thread because i've been fighting with my vertex all day. @4ddiction did you do the air intake mod? I bought a 3/8 guest valve but I can't even get it on the air line.

Yes I have it installed. I have a micro needle valve on the skimmer now.

you need to get 3/8 guest barb fittings to fit the air line onto them.

Once you get the valve on, play around with it. Keep the water height valve open all the way, the air valve around half closed. Then use the water height valve to increase the level to your liking.

Skimmer works like a horse when dialed in. Just takes a while to figure out how to dial it in.
