I just happen to stop by Petco and noticed a medium sized sailfin tang being treated and just needed to donate $10 to take him home. So I jumped on it. He has scars on his head and his fins look pretty beat up. I was told he has Hole in Head. Never knew that was a disease. What's the best treatment for this type that's reef safe.

Feeding high quality foods soaked in selcon, Vita chem, and Zoecon will help. Also keeping pristine water conditions.

Zoecon was actually formulated to treat HLLE. Depending on the severity it may or may not heal completely.

Thanks for the info. The scars on his head look pretty bad and most likely will be permanent but I think the fins should grow back nicely.
