Adorable little 2” blue tangs

I mentioned this awhile back that LFS had little blue tangs around 2”. Ppl said “wuuuuuut no way” so I’ve attached pics. Look at how cute they are now I know why ppl buy these and don’t realize they get to be monsters. They are not even 2” in length. Couldn’t grab a great pic as I didn’t want to be creepy in LFS cause I do lotsa business with them and want to remain that way lol

Yeah, a lot of the blue tangs I see at my LFS are also well under 2".

70% of the hepatus tangs in my LFS are tiny babies. I have no clue where they are all coming from. I've heard that they are from eggs collected in the wild and hatched in the aquarium, but I have nothing to back this up with.

In your other post Weren't you asking about 2” powder blue tangs? Now that would be a sight to see.

Mine was well less than 2" and already growing. Prob. 2 or 2.5 now without tail! Not the best pic

I think it's ok to take a pic in your LFS. It's thoughtful for you to think about it, but they probably see people taking pics and vids all day long. I guaranteed take a vid to text to my wife if I see a puffer or cowfish.

I do the same for my wife haha, she absolutely loves them.

Nothing strange all of my fish were so small, probably about 1-2cm in lenght....

And they grow fast

My sister purchased one a couple of months back, it couldn't be more than 2"! It's so tiny and cute!! It's so hard to get a good picture of him, you can see how small he is in comparison to the clownfish!

Maybe that is where I am getting confused…. Lol, I didn’t realize they were different. Classic

Mine was smaller than my Blue damsel when I got it. Now its probably 4-5 inches after about 3 years.
