Came back from a 5 day business trip and saw my royal gramma looking pretty ragged. Does this look like brooklynella or velvet? Also noticed spots on my flame angel with its eyes looking a bit cloudy. I did add some new corals just before I left. All fish are still eating well, have started soaking food in Metroplex and Focus just as something to help them out.
Getting the QT tank set upas we speak.

Thanks for the help!

It looks more like brook to me. For whatever reason grammas seem almost as susceptible as clownfish.

I would move all fish to QT and treat them for 14 days with metro and leave display fallow for 6 weeks.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I’m planning on doing a freshwater dip as recommended. I have Cupramine and have read that copper may give some relief but is not a cure. I also have Paraguard which is advertised as a formalin alternative.

I have a limited supply of Metro and it will take a while before I can get any here (Kuwait). Any recommendations for alternative treatment regimens?

FWD is a good idea for temporary relief and even conducting multiple dips and housing in sterile tank after can help treating brook. Unfortunately both copper and paraguard aren't effective solutions for treatment. mardels quick cure is the most effective treatment or Ruby Reef Rally is a 2nd good option if you can find it. Both these medications work best when administered as 45-90min bath. Good-luck!
