I will tell you something ,no laughing I'm running for 3 years 65 gal Coralife hang on back and I nave not even 1 issue with this skimmer but is getting slowly to small.
I like to get something which gonna last long time problem free

I don't know, I hadn't read about any common issues when I bought it ...... all I can say is that I haven't had any problems or issues with it at all, it's been a great skimmer for me so far - only going on about 10 months with it. It has performed flawlessly for me and I like it almost as much as the BK I run on my other tank!

You are talking about Vertex in 100 yes or other ones

I have the Reef Octopus SRO-XP2000 cone skimmer on my 65g and it has worked flawlessly, constantly pulls dark gunk out. I also had an SWC skimmer and had no complaints. Either way you will be happy.

So swc 160 will be not to big for 65 gal mostly softys and couple LPS

I have had the SWC 160 on my 65 gallon since they came out with no issues.

how long you have it

I've had my skimmer for over a year and it's never skipped a beat since. Runs really quiet and I like to skim wet so I clean out the nog about every 5 days.
