[Skunk Shrimp]

hello everyone,

Tested water parameters today (fairly new to the hobby.) Wanted some peoples advice about things that could be done differently. As well as getting the tank to look more pretty and keep the coral growing.

I know i need to bring phosphate down skimmer is pulling dark skim out. Getting a refugium setup soon. spot feed BTA every other day. feed reef chili for the corals. fish are fed a mixture of pellets, nori, and mysis shrimp. was doing water changes once a month (I know bad.) however the guy i was learning from only does it once a month and have learned his tank doesn’t look the best. so now i just started doing water changes every week.

Just more rock at some point if you plan to add more corals and fish (fish dig hiding spots).

Second blaxsun opinion-much more rock, not only as a hiding place for fish, but also as a biofilter.
I would not additionally feed corals reef chili, at that stage they get more than enough food from feeding fish.

Agree need more hiding places for fish.

Feeding the nem every other day is too much IMO. Mine get fed a lot of light and whatever food happens to flow their way when the fish are fed. I haven't directly fed my nems in years and they thrive.

Edit: How are you testing for ammonia?

I test everything with a hanna testers though I find it hard to get ammonia super accurate. I have a secondary ammonia checker that stays in the tank at all times and get my water tested by a fancy machine(can’t rennet the name of it) at my local fish store.
