I did just upgrade my lines to RODI 1/4” line. There is instructions how to go so that makes an improvement.

Looks good although im gonna go with the WWC setup

Haven’t invested in a apex yet... super expensive

I wish I had invested in an Apex almost 6 years ago.
I have almost everything controlled, but from multiple sources.
i.e. temp controller, controlled Vortech power heads, WiFi lights, pH probes/temp alarms, Tunze ATO, refugium lighting, water detecters etc.
In the long run, I have spent more than doing the same thing with one source controller like a GHL or Neptune (and now WiFi connected for everything).

I have manually dosed for years, but not consistently good for the SPS (fine for LPS and soft corals) so I’m now looking for a controlled doser - possibly GHL or Coral Box.

Bottom line - probably better to go with one system. On the bright side, I purchased quality things and almost everything still running strong x 5 1/2 years!

I just purchased the trigger dosing containers from BRS on Black Friday deal. I still need to get a doser, but I’m not sure how the connections will work with the Coral Box doser. The Trigger containers have 1/4 inch quick connect John Guest RODI bulkheads. Will the Coral Box Doser fit that? What size air tubing did you use?
Thank you.

I also have been looking around for a good cheap doser. I use jabao stuff, but was told to never skimp on a doser. And the jabao dosers have too much negative comments.
I'm hoping for a coral box on the 25th!

Good question, did you ever find an answer? I just got a coralbox doser and will be setting it up in a few days.

Nope, but I went ahead and upgraded the lines that came with the unit to the 1/4 lines. It fits pretty snugged but I went ahead and put a small amount of superglue around the Check valves to make sure. This is what I ended up doing:

- Upgraded lines to 1/4
- bought 4 better quality check valves to fit the 1/4 tubing
- I superglued the “stock” check valves between the dosing containers and dosing heads
- Superglued the 1/4 lines to the dosing heads
- superglued the upgrades check valves on the output line into the tank

Works flawlessly so far. Pretty much superglued all connections to ensure no leaks. I actually checked my calibration yesterday and everything held and so has my Alk/Ca levels.
