So, I'm not exactly new. I had a 55 gallon tank from 1999 - 2008. But, then I had some life circumstances where I couldn't maintain it. I gave all the livestock away and put my equipment in storage. I'm ready to start again. I have all the old equipment, but I've done a little research and the technology has improved a lot in the last 5 years. If you had to buy new stuff, specifically a filter and light, what would be your ideal? Help me get started right!

LED's and a sump system complete with fuge and skimmer chambers.

Reef Radiance has great prices and Rick is awesome. He can help you figure out exactly what you need in way of lights.

I would stick with the 55 just cause they are one of the easiest to maintain "with" your mistakes (that will happen). Like mentioned go with LEDs, look at alibaba.com for full spectrum "REEF" LEDs not gardening!!! Preferably Cree but Bridgelux are just as good.
