Looking for a 48" LED Strip to supplement my T5s. Looking for the BLUE look to make corals pop! I currently run 2 Coral Plus and 2 Blue Plus T5s. I came across a lot on eBay and Amazon but not sure which one to buy any advice would help thanks.

Following along. I had the same question. I don't need more light, I just want the pop for ooo's and ahh's. I'm sure the current usa strips are great, but at $100 seem like overkill. However, maybe that's what's needed. I'm not sure.
Sorry Coralreefer, I'm not trying to high jack your post, but I think I'm asking the same thing as you.

Check out the Chinese black boxes on eBay. It would take 2 of them. The smaller units cover a 24" spread each. There is a larger one that covers 36". Mars Aqua brand I believe

I already run a T5 fixture over the tank wanted to go with a LED 48" strip of blues to make corals pop and have the fish store look. The way corals pop before we buy them. The eBay ones would work but they are too big and bulky and the reef brite strips are kinda pricey for me

I havent looked much into them but maybe check out the E5 bulbs that are out now they plug right into the T5 fixture, you would have to sacrifice a bulb for it though.... but on the positive side you save an extra outlet plug!

I am in the process of a new 75G build and I think i am going to get a 6 bulb fixture and run 4 T5 and 2E5!
that way i dont have to blow another few hundred on reefbrites.

I would hands down recommend the euroquatics E5 blue pop from premium aquatics. Plug and play what more could you ask for. Im running blue plus and purple plus for one set and attinic and blue pop E5 on the other set. It is like blue plus x5 i love it!

what color E5's should I look into? I currently run 2 coral plus and 2 Blue Plus...looking for that fish store pop

I love the look of attinic with the blue pops in the evenings i think most would. blue+ with purple+ is all i run for the daytime look and all 4 for a couple hours for a transition period which looks amazing too. All i can find online at the moment here is the link

Hey man! I run USA led orbit 48" light on my reef without T5 and have more than enough light
LPS with Kenya trew, shrooms, and zoas. With T5 if should provide the oooohs and aaaahh you are looking for. Mine glows like 4th of July in Sunset and sunrise. Keep the white light low to provide these effects.
The 48" cost about 200 bucks but it is worth it. I don't run any other light source and my LPS is raging wild man!!!

Its a little intimidating but cost for cost. 2 e5 blue pops $160 = 5 years. 2 Ati blue+ $310 = 5 years 3 months if changed every 9 months. So almost half the cost, 45% power saving which is more of a bonus, and that blue pop everyone is looking for. There are plenty of videos on youtube about em. This is the video that sold me on e5's and he is right the video does not do the color pop justice, its way better in person. Start @ 1:30 for blue comparisons
