Absolutely +1I think you answered your own question...slow is good. Far too many rush things when getting started. Take your time, continue to do your research and ask questions as you go.

Common mistake is to not test even when things are going good. Another common mistake is newbies going crazy buying stuff they'll end up regretting and stocking their tank up too fast because it finished cycling. Take ur time and keep dosing live bacteria like microbacter7 or stability by seachem.
Decide what u will keep. Trust me, mixed reef is never a good idea as many corals have different needs, light and water chemistry. Go for color and not for flesh. Those most colorful stuff is stoney. [emoji1]
