I want to get a pulsing xenia. I have an island prepared for it about 3 inches from the main scape. I know it's the devil and a beginner weed, but I want it, so I'll do everything I can to have it but also keep it at bay on that island. I may be overcomplicating things but is there any other advice you would give to me to help keep it without having it possibly overrun my tank?

Not that hard to remove these weeds, if they spread where you don't want them.

I love it too and you're smart to isolate Xenia. Only problem I have is when I cut it back with bone cutters a small piece may escape my net and establish itself somewhere else in my DT. BTW, I have some placed near a torch which "limits" its growth.

I have heard some people's experiences where theirs just grew more and pieces got loose and floated in the water column and established themselves somewhere else. I plan to have a few torches because they're stunning. Seems like we have pretty similar tastes.

That waving movement is so eye catching and relaxing; might consider getting a goni to continue the theme. 20210101_164327.jpg

Ikr. Goni would be nice. I want to get a long polyped flowerpot like you have to and I’ll isolate that one as well. Nice tank.

I have to trim it back regularly and wish I could frag a piece for you, but I don't think that can be done easily. Some great color morphs available now
