So I am looking to start my own POD and snail tank. What I am hoping is for them to breed and to feed to my wrasse and puffer.

I have a 10 gallon tank I'm looking to set up for them.

Is there any kind of snails that produce quickly that would be good for the tank? And same question for pods.

I can give you pod advice, as I do the easy lazy pod culture with powdered spirulina a bit of banana peel/skin and it needs just a gallon or couple - a picnic beverage container works great for me. In fact I've vote 2-3 of those over a 10 gallon tank - save that for fish QT or something.

No first hand snail breeding (on purpose) experience, but it was conveyed to me that pods may eat my berghia eggs... so I never have let pods in berghia breeder tanks. Berghias are nudibranches (snails without shells).

Good luck to you! If you do go with a 10 gallon supporting both snails and pods, let people know how it works out (and if eggs are eaten).

My margaritas were spawning at one time but off-springs took for ever to get to adulthood. Did grow rather fast but not fast enough to provide harvest levels in a ten gallon aquarium, for example. Perhaps cheaper to just buy Astraea in bulk. They get to under $0.60 each. Assuming from a good source. Those in Florida just collect and ship. QT should solve that.

Seen nassarius on eBay so it seems those are being procreated cost effective enough considering the price they sell at.
