Help me #reefsquad ......

Back in the hobby after a few years off. It feels good to be back - most the time : )

Thanks to help from R2R - a solution to my problem is adding more biological filtration. I forgot how priceless it is / how much it helps stability, which I have been having a hard time with. I made the mistake of having too much of a minimalist scape....I need to add more reef saver rock? Order good LR somewhere? What would you do? I have a few bio blocks in the sump but not enough to help. I'd rather put more biological filtration in my tank and then down the road after the tank is established free up space in my sump.

My thoughts would be to order more reef saver, cycle in the garage for a bit, reef scape outside the tank and then drop it in. Thoughts? Sadly most my tank was wiped out due to skimmer overflowing / dumping out water and then the ATO kept dumping in. What would you do? Thank you for your time and tips!

old pic showing my tank - sadly my fish and most the coral you see died / lots of brown algae. Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0 Ammonia 0 PH 8. Calcium 385 Alk 7.0 Phosphate ULR PPM .02
1.026 , 78 temp. I have been adding food and reed roids daily to help with phosphate.

First I would fix the skimmer issue so it will not happen again. If it overflows its best to let it do that in the sump or back in the tank, so no water loss.
Since your tank is void of most life just pick out some rock, toss in a bottle of bacteria. Wait a few weeks for the tank to cycle again and get somewhat stable.
Before you add livestock I would get the alk up to around 8 or 9 and raise the calcium to over 400 ( if you want to add corals)

thank you. I cleaned the skimmer piece by piece and so far it seems to be fine. I appreciate, ill order some more reefsaver and do as instructed. Cheers
