I’m quickly learning that there are 1000 things that appear great to do for the tank, but many have adverse possible side affects as well. And while I don’t fault online stores, it’s to their benefit to make everything sound amazing.

That being said I’ve read a good deal on these (picture below) and it seems really good for the first, corals, and tank.

What are the experts in here opinions? Any advice on how to use these? Or if I should?

I have a 40 gallon aquatop with 2 clowns, peppermint hogfish, Pygmy angel, royal gramma, BTA and quite a few LPS, soft corals.

Thanks!

Amphipods and copepods are important. Can’t have too many. I’ve never added any myself (tanks will acquire them over time) but I’ve read good things about pods from algae barn as well.

Absolutely %100
Copepods, amphipods, and isopods are great to have for both a food source and detritus/algae removal

Pods, Bacter 7 bacteria supplement, ph tester, salinity tester and a cover. Many fish are Jumpers !!

I add a couple of jars of copepods every other month.

I have a mandarin and pods are the only thing it eats. And a maxima clam that benefits from live phytoplankton. Pods are great for tanks. I grow my own phytoplankton and pods using the Poseidon Reef System. Much cheaper than buying them every month. I harvest every 7 to 10 days.
