I purchased my first few frags last week and has been in my tank over a week now. On my frag rack I have an:
- Alien Antivenom Zoa
- Rasta Zoa
- Blue Hornet Zoa
- Eagle Eye Zoa
- Forst Fire Digi

During the first hour in the tank last week, on the corner of my eye I saw my Copperband Butterfly start nipping at it (whilst the zoa's were still closed). Worried that it, or other fish may continue to do so.I put the frag rack within a breeding box to prevent any fish having a bite at it.

So I've placed it as close to the middle of the tank as possible so it will get most of the lighting. I also placed it right on top of the tank so that no fish would jump in, but giving it some room below water level so that a small amount of flowing water from the powerhead would flow into the box. Will this be any issue that would affect growth?

I am currently feeding it reef roids. My lighting is use is AI Hydra 64, in a 3foot tank. As you can see it's best tu the power head and is facing up which would put some flow into the box.

My queries are:
1) How do Copperband Butterflies fare with grown Zoas?
2) Will the flow that I am providing for the frags be sufficient?
3) I obviously want it to grow healthy and quickly so it doesn't have to remain in the breeding box for a long period of time, what should I be really doing to help frags grow?
4) How often should I be feeding it reef roids, or other food that would benefit growth?
5) What is the general time of growth?

CBB usually pick at acans and brain corals IME.
I wouldn’t worry about them with zoas, maybe it was picking at a feather duster.

1) How do Copperband Butterflies fare with grown Zoas?

Copperbands are known to not be completely reef safe and have the possibility to pick at corals

2) Will the flow that I am providing for the frags be sufficient?

Probably, but in my experience this varies based on the zoa. The majority are fine w any flow

3) I obviously want it to grow healthy and quickly so it doesn't have to remain in the breeding box for a long period of time, what should I be really doing to help frags grow?

Nothing really special, just keep good params, lighting and flow

4) How often should I be feeding it reef roids, or other food that would benefit growth?

I dont feed my zoas so idk this one

5) What is the general time of growth?

This varies based on the species, but id expect your smaller frags to get a new polyp or two every few weeks with the bigger one getting more. Hard to pinpoint it

Hope that helps!
