My ph is getting very low 7.5,,,,planning on supplementing my calcium reactor with kalk,,bought a vast reactor,,,looking for advice on how to run the reactor and pump with apex

Stop running your CaRx on your apex. Tune it and let it run all the time. This will raise the pH as well. There is a link in my signature about how to do this. You probably won't need the kalk if you do this... or at a minimum it will help a lot.

I run an Avast kalk reactor and I feed it with an Avast diaphragm pump pulling from my RODI barrel. Some people run their reactor with their ATO but then as the weather and humidity in your home changes, the amount you're dosing will change and it will be hard to stabilize your levels. My recommendation is to find a set amount of kalk you need/want to dose every day and use your apex to pump that amount through the reactor throughout the day.

Here's a great site for figuring out the programming: https://www.reeftronics.net/adpg/dosingcalc.php

For instance, my tank is consuming about 1dkh a day so I have my calcium reactor tuned to provide about 0.5dkh and I use the kalk reactor to dose 0.5dkh (about 2500ml). As my consumption goes up, I'll re-tune my calcium reactor to match until I see my PH start to drop and then I'll increase my kalk dosing a bit to compensate. It's a delicate balance but one you have full control over.

This is 100% correct.
I set my carx up this way 8 months ago and its flawless.
Ph does not change on a properly tuned carx, period.
This should be the standard setup for a carx.
Thanks again for the info.

Good read. So when you are "in tune" do you accumulate any CO2 at the top of your reactor? After several weeks, my reactor generated enough excess CO2 to allow cavitation. I'm pretty happy otherwise and don't want to rock the boat.
