I have a Torch whose polyps appear to be "pinched" on one side of the head, has been this way since I purchased it. I looked at the coral at night with a flashlight when the lights were off and noticed some white fuzzy "mold" on the skeleton. It also looked like the flesh in this area was just starting to recede. I went ahead and ordered Kent Marine Lugol's Solution (11.835% iodide) and would greatly appreciate some guidance on the proper way of dipping this Torch. I've heard of people crashing tanks simply from not rinsing the solution off well enough so this is an area i'd rather not wing it on. Here's some pics if it helps any.

From your pics looking at the green color of skeleton where it receide i will say to consider the presence of piercing algae on tour torch

Piercing algae? Can you explain?

Went ahead and dipped it. Mfg recommends 40 drops per gallon so I did the math and added 1 additional drop. Label says 10 - 15 minutes, forum posts say 5 minutes so I met halfway and did it for 7 minutes, then rinsed in tank water. Hopefully it bounces back soon.

High organic charge and high light exposition sometimes uprise on Lps corals expecially euphyllia and also the others percing algae
They destroy corals in few time
T hey are identified by a Green layer w here tissue receide ,for other problems skeleton Remain White for some days
