Advice needed quickly in aptaisia.

I am aclimating my corals and there is a aptaisia on one frag. Should i scrape it off and cover the spot with superglue or do something else?

Just scrape it off before putting on new tank if it can be done without damaging the coral.

Otherwise, covering it with glue or putty works too.

I scrape them off frag plugs and then cover that area in glue to just be sure I got it. So far, no re-occurences.

Using a syringe, inject with either lemon juice or better yet kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a toothpaste like consistency and inject into center core of the aptasia. It will melt away. At times, boiling water will also work

With gel glue- this would likely work

Yes-- do it all outside of your tank water. And do whatever it takes to make its life miserable... a blow-torch and electro-shock therapy would not be out of the question! (lol ) Best wishes.

Haha! Burning it was my first thought when I saw it. I scraped the hell out of it with a razer, then brushed it until I saw no flesh left then I rinsed the frag and globed a gernerous amout of superglue on the area.
