If i add some more live rock to my aquarium will it throw my cycle off

Trust me I made this mistake years ago. If your tank is full cycled already and you go and throw a bunch of fresh live rock in it , then it will cycle again and cause you all kinds of issues. If your setup is new or you have nothing in the tank yet then you'll be ok, but expect it to cycle again.

In Dec. I bought a new 12 gal tank to replace my 8 yr old 12 gal tank. I was fighting GHA and took out all the rock except what had coral growing on it, which wasn't much. When I got my new tank and switched them, I was afraid of it re-cycling. I added 10 LBs of LR to the 12 gal, and 5 lbs of LS. Levels all 0 (amonia, nitrate and nitrite). 3 months later still 0.

If your tank is already cycled and you use good cured rock there should not be a issue. If tank is not cycled and you use uncured rock you might have issues with nitrate spikes etc.
