Advice needed

So, my wife went and spray painted something in the garage today about 10 feet away from a bucket of chaeto that I was quarantining. As is typical with spray paint, the fumes were very strong and I’m sure there was particulate matter in the air. My wife is arguing that it will be fine, but I don’t think I can use this anymore. The sad thing is that it’s been in QT for 3 months and I was going to move it to the sump in a few days. I had it next to my fish qt which currently has ich in it so I wanted to move it away for a bit in case any transferred via aerosol. The even sadder thing is that my wife forced me to move it to the garage just yesterday because she was tired of tripping over it in its old spot... Any opinions?

Rinse it well with salt water ASAP.

Rinse it well with salt water ASAP.

Ok, I went and rinsed it really well, it’s probably been 2 hours since she did her painting though. Do you think it’s worth the risk? I could maybe stick a bag of carbon in the bucket for awhile..
