Hi, I am new to reef2reef.
I currently own a 40-gallon tall reef tank and its main filtration was a canister filter. Unfortunately, the canister filter recently broke on me, and now currently looking for a new one. Does anyone have any good suggestions on a type of canister filter? I am open for any suggestions.

I've used Fluval for the last 3 years, specifically the Fx6, works a treat for me

I use an Fluval FX4 on my 75 gallon and it works great. I think an FX4 would be plenty of filtration for a 40 gal.

Like Flugal for canisters, but not heaters I bought a heater, and they are not submersible , and not clearly marked as such

I've been using an Oase Thermo 350 on my 50 gallon corner tank for close to 3 years no without a problem. Two plusses to this filter is the easy to access and clean pre-filter and the built in but removable heater.
