Advice on carbon and GFO reactors (new to this)

Hi,
I have very limited space in my sump and under my tank, I was looking at duel carbon and GFO reactor on BRS, but after measuring, there is no way this will fit in my sump, I don't have anywhere to mount it and I don't know how close or far if can sit from the sump etc. As you can see, the pipes are low and get in the way height wise..the width of the area where the reactor could go, is less that 14" because of the lip around the edge. I don't have another place to store any of the tank accessories.

Do you have room for an in-sump model in the third section (before return pump section)?

Could you do the BRS ones if you mount on the left side of your cabinet? They are build like the RODI canisters which means you may spill small amounts when changing them out (unless you are a lot more careful than me lol) so be wary of that.

There is some room the 3rd section (that was my original plan) but the pipes are in the way when it comes to height, I could probably fit 1 reactor in there, it's not wide enough for the duel one that I almost bought! I have 2 heaters in there too. The tank is 225 G, so say around 250g of water maybe. I have the RODI and an under the sink RO in my house, I always spill, I honestly don't know how anyone doesn't, lol. The floor is carpeted under the tank too. I'm not sure if the cabinet could handle that weight being mounted on the side? I have a bunch of stuff stored over there..but then where would I run the tubes? I assumed they needed to be close if not inside the sump after the filters and skimmer (I feel inside would be the best..maybe?

I would run carbon & gfo in 2 single reactors flow rate for each is different also what are your po4 levels you may not need the gfo

Get a single reactor an mix the GFO and Carbon. Simple and effective.

You could just run them in a very fine mesh at the bottom of your sump. Not as effective but still gets the job done

Phosphates? I don't have a test for that. I've had an algae outbreak recently..ugh..I don't have corals, my tank is newish, literally only have 2 fish 1 snail an a few hermit crabs in a huge tank! I have a couple clown fish living in my QT until their permanent tank is ready (a biocube), until then, I can't buy new fish etc because I don't have QT until they are moved.

The algae is driving me nuts...I was doing great and then life got busy and a I skipped a couple water changes...bang, algae everywhere! Trying to find ways to combat it and keep it away as best I can.

I did see them doing this in one of the BRS videos, not sure what size reactor would be best and where to put it etc. If it will fit in the sump.

I would get a test kit for po4 to see what your levels are i use a hanna ultra low phosphorus test. sailfert &red sea test kits always showed zero .hanna is the besy one i have used so far my po4 is .039 after i quit using gfo. Wasting my money running gfo when i didn't need it .
