I have two mp10’s in my 90 gallon tank , I have mostly soft corals and a few hammer corals and frogspawn. I need advice and help on what I should set my flow at ?
There are so many settings I’m not sure what to set them at or what is a good flow for my tank
What should the minimum and max flow be in a 90 gallon reef tank with mostly soft coral and a few frogspawn and hammer corals ?
I’m worried if I set them too high it’ll hurt the hammer and frogspawn since lately they are pulling in but I know I need a certain amount of flow to feed and maintain my tank

Flow for most lps should be non direct (not having them blasted directly by the wavemaker).

The polyps should be out and fluffy, and gently swaying in the current. Too much flow will cause retraction of polyps, but so will about 100 other things.

Start the flow low and work it up little by little.

I generally don't focus on a base number for what to set my powerhead to because every tank is different bc of the aquascape etc. I basically exclusively keep euphyllia now. Generally I just make sure that the corals aren't getting too much flow by looking at them. If the flow looks right, then I leave it. A good way to get an idea for the movement they require is by watching a video of someone with a successful euphyllia tank. Generally euphyllia like low to medium flow.
