Hello
I am relatively new to the hobby and have a 28 gallon jbj nano intermediate (LED's) with about 30 lbs live sand, 35 lbs live rock, an inline uv sterilizer and an aquamaxx HOB-1 skimmer. My current stocking is as follows:
Fish:
1 yellow neon goby
2 False percula's
1 yellow gumdrop clown goby
1 yellow coris wrasse.
Coral:
small frag of button polyps
small frag of Zo's (orange with green skirt)
1 small head golden torch
Medium rock with star polyps
4 heads of Duncan with small stalk
3 heads Acan (orange with grey skirt)
5 heads Acan (red with white skirt, smaller)
I am trying to add one more fish and my goal is to have brighter fish that tend to stay active and add a nice POP of color to the tank. My wife and 5 year old daughter LOVE the colorful fish. Right now, I have orange in the clowns, and yellow in the wrasse, clown goby, and neon goby.
All the current fish are peaceful (well the clowns are not too peaceful but keep to themselves) and DO NOT want to get a fish that will make the current fish hide. I am thinking the wrasse is fine as it stays in the water column mostly, but the two goby's hang out in the rock work.
QUESTION:
1) Any suggestions on COLORFUL fish that are HARDY and will not BULLY my peaceful fish?
2) I was thinking the INDIGO DOTTYBACK from ORA. The site indicates that they are hybrids with the striped dotty back and tend to be one of the more peaceful breads of dotty back. ORA stated they are ALWAYS kept with a lot of other dotty backs and they seem to have a bright iridescent blue color that I think would add a DIFFERENT POP of color.
3) Does anyone have experience with the INDIGO DOTTYBACK? Thoughts?
4) Any other suggestions on a fish that will add a different splash of color that would work in a smaller tank like mine?
