Hi All, I have a 300 gallon reef tank that has been successfully up and running for about 3 years. It is a mixed reef tank, but other than a few random little frags I do not have any acropora and would really like to start focusing the tank in that direction. As it is a large tank, can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can purchase some acropora colonies to get started. Thanks so much.

I don't know of any vendors that are selling colonies. If you are looking for larger pieces your best bet would be to look for local reefers that are getting out, or needing to thin their tank out.

One other thing, I would make sure to QT any incoming colonies. There are lots of places for pests to hide in acropora structures. I personally would not trust dips alone to catch everything on larger pieces. Good luck, with the search and let us know what you find.
