I am buying 2 new Radion Gen 4 XR15 pros that I will be putting on my tank next week. They will be replacing my 2 kessil a360WE that I currently have over the tank. It is on a RSR 250 so I should be covered well. What advice can you current users give me on settings or anything else??

I will preface this with I don't use xr15 gen 4s, but I have xr15 gen 5s. I believe most are using the coral labs AB+ settings. All blue&UV channels 100%, the rest 24%

Running G5 - 30%'s

Best advice, if your investing in lights - buy a PAR meter. This will allow u to get a great sense of what your lights are doing in your tank day 1 through day 3,650.

In the past I used one on occasion through reef club, now I own one and love it.

Wish I purchased it years ago!

Any videos you recommend on how to? I literally know nothing but I am getting a reef link in the deal.

Bulk reef supply has good radion videos. Youtube is also a good place to check.

I have the Apex Par Meter in the tank all the time. I purchased a stick that I can mount it to from Melves Reef. I use the stick to take a bunch of different measurements in heights, corners, etc to plan for future coral placement.

If it’s any help, here are the PAR numbers on my 36”x18”x18” setup. It’s close to the size of the RED SEA 250. I am running two Radion XR5 PRO Gen 5's.

Please note that I like my reef on the whiter side. I run all channels at 100% except for red and green. Those two channels are run at 30%. The unit power is at 100%.

I am using the RMS arm mounts so they’re 8-9” off the surface. As you can see, I’ll be able to grow SPS just about anywhere in the tank.

my rock work starts about 10” down in the tank. Numbers in black are surface readings. This is not a top down shot, it would be as if you’re looking at the tank head on.(front)

Just for kicks, I did run the AB+ profile at 100% intensity and every spot on the rocks was 250+ PAR. It’s just too blue for me.
