The previous owners of my house installed a RO2127 Reverse Osmosis system under the kitchen sink, which is very handy. This system has a ROM-16C membrane, P5 pre-filter cartridge and D20 post-polishing cartridge: a very basic setup from what I understand. The system also includes a pressurized storage tank, and supplies 15 gallons per day.

Right now I am looking at replacing all the cartridges, as I expect they are way past their prime. But I'm wondering if I should instead replace the whole system?

TDS from the city supply is around 400ppm (gasp!). What's coming out of the RO2127 currently is 300ppm.

Comments/advice most welcome!

Very happy with the brs system, especially after adding a 2nd ro membrane.

The beauty of most any RO/DI system is that you can always add on if needed. I got my system on Amazon and have since added 3 DI stages. Very simple setup and not too expensive. Now I am getting perfect 0 TDS water from a well.
