Advice on switching from 2part to All for reef

Can anyone help with advice on how to switch from brightwell Alkalinity and calcium to Tropic marin All For Reef? I would like to minimize alk swings when switch

Test the main parameters before and 30-60 min after dosing based on your tank size and recommendations with All For Reef. Then make adjustments to how much you dose based on that. May take a few rounds to get the right amount for your tank.

Use the calculator on their website and, with a little math, you can find the dose according to your current consumption.

Keep in mind you may see a delay in alkalinity showing up as the active ingredient is calcium formate which must be metabolized by bacteria and converted. So some lag is expected. Some recommend phasing one out while slowly increasing AFR.

Thank you for mentioning this. This is the one area a lot of people forget to mention. ALK will lag behind and normal.

It isn't uncommon to have to manually dose a pinch of ALK supplement manually.

Yes. I also noticed a slight carbon dosing effect and a drop in nitrates, which caused my alk to rise slightly, but nothing concerning or that can't be controlled by dose amount.
