Ok, Ive had this condy for about 6 months and its always been puffed up and happy, retracting at night like usual. The last couple days hes been very unhappy looking and deflated, should I worry? I have a 2nd thats is very happy. Will get a pic of the 2nd one up soon.

bump. I use t8 lighting. I feed it shrimp mostly, live feeders when I can get them, water params are good. Its just strange that the one is doing so well, and the other isnt.

Live feeders are full of fat and aren't actually as good to feed as you might think. I would give it a week or so before panicking. See if its still sticky, and keep him fed!

its been awhile since i got live feeders, but i do occasionally get them. and i have heard the same about them kinda why i shy away now. and yea he is still sticky =)

I have one to and it just roams around on the sandy black tahiti bottom waiting for a home to make! wish it would just stay in one place for a while.
It also retracts and acts like it's going to die and then come back a live....

You state that your water parameters are good -- but what are the actual numbers behind that "good", please include SG/Salinity and how it is measured.

What size tank?
What wattage of T8? How many?

Well, It seems during my move I mis-located my test kit, I did however find Jungle brand quick dip test kit. Based on that, everything is in check at ideal levels for a reef tank. Tuesday I will go buy a new test kit, I cant afford any fancy electronic testers at this time, what would you suggest I look for? I was using Tetra test kit but I assume thats not quite as accurate as other brands.
Its a 75 gallon tank, 4 bulb t8 setup includes 1 36 inch 50/50 bulb, 1 36 inch actinic and 2 24 inch daylight bulbs. The 50/50 and the actinic are both 25 watts, not sure about the daylight bulbs though off hand.
SG is .026 measured with a deepsix hydrometer.
