So my aquaclear has been giving me fits. The sponge keeps rising (another thread discusses this). Even when I put a new one in, it still pushes up after 4 hours or so. Don’t know why it just started doing this after 5 months. Anyway, I usually run the sponge that is designed for the filter and Seachem matrix. I am gonna ditch the sponge since it keeps pushing up. What should I replace the sponge with? I want something that will grab some of the crap and not just put it back in the tank. I have a prefilter sponge on my intake.
