Hey everyone, so I’m currently planning on starting a 40 Gallon Breeder with a 20 Gallon long sump, SPS Frag/ Frag Growout tank. I need everyone’s opinion on how I’m going to set this up. For lighting, I’m going to go with one SBReefLights 32” Timer LED Fixture. For flow, I’m planning on 4 Jebao PP8 wavemakers for random flow and low price. Now for the protein skimmer, I’m thinking of oversizing it to be one of my primary means of nutrient reduction because I like to feed heavily. I’m thinking of getting a Bubble Magus Curve 7. Return pump will be a Jebao DCT 6000. For biological filtration I’m thinking of getting 2 8x8x4 Blocks of marinepure ceramic media in the sump and having around 20ish lbs of Reef Saver rock in the display under the frag rack. Tank is also going to be bare bottom. And last but not least, the ATO is going to be the Tunze Osmolator. So let me know what you guys think. I don’t want to have to worry about nutrients and fighting algae so I can also go with an algae turf scrubber or refugium but I want everyone’s input. Thanks in advance

That sounds like a pretty solid setup to me. I think algae turf scrubber would be best in this case. Pest algae is much easier to grow than some macro algaes.
