Picked up two acro mini colonies from a friend today. Dipped and noticed 3 larger flat worms. Hard to get a good picture of the flatworm itself. Not sure if these are eggs or dead flesh underneath?

Yes AEFW eggs:mad:Not sure if these are eggs
Did you end up having to battle the bugs?QT? Shouldn't take a chance just Frag undamage parts and dump the rest.
I learned the hard way when I brought a prealberry colony.
I superglued and cut out all the eggs I found but a month later I found my 1st AEFW.

I know he has them, evidence from the pieces I received. He uses a uv sterilizer. Do you think that is helping to contain them in sump area? He also has wrasses and anthias that may be helping to control them in the display? I saw a lot of dead ones in my bucket after the dip. For some reason I can't get the pictures to upload. That’s not tooo many eggs. A single flatworm could lay that many. As to your buddy’s tank - he has them. He just can’t see them or notice the damage yet. Give it 3-6 months and the acros will suddenly be dying. When aefw hatch they go into the water column. So they aren’t just in the sump.
The UV isn’t doing anything. And at best the wrasses/anthias are just having some free meals. They won’t stop or control the AEFW. And if the pieces you got had a lot of worms, then his tank has a lot of them too. He has to take the coral out and dip them then inspect. I guarantee you’ll find more worms, eggs, bites. AEFW are masters at hiding. You won’t see them from outside the tank until the infestation is really bad.I know he has them, evidence from the pieces I received. He uses a uv sterilizer. I'm so happy I dip every piece of coral no matter where they come from. Never would of thought he had aefw.
