They said it's a blend of things no one has talked about in the reefing world? Still could be the same concept as fws. No one knows what's in it, therefore no one talks about it in the reefing world.
The talk about wormwood is just speculation and a guess at what the main ingredient is. Either way, I would love to see what the liquid looks like. And would love to hear more about the experiences people have with it.

Luckily for me I only found eggs on one small colony only which I trashed, my infection is not that bad only seen a few big ones, I have a video of any of ya get a kick out of seeing these buggers die, that was a dip in melafix last night I saw a few crawling on a monti cap I have in my sump where I had originally moved them when I first dip, im actually going to be dipping and after the dip I will bathe the bootleg rag i created out of eggcrates in super hot water for the ones that want to flee after the dip

Edit: it won’t allow .MOV extension from my iPhone

They dont look or smell the same, and it wasnt so close together, flatworm stop has been out for a long time. UWC also said it doesnt contain wormwood. They wouldnt say what it contains but said not wormwood and I believe explained why. Obviously you would have to take their word for it but imo they are not similar products.
They wouldn't say wormwood worked if it did. It of course could be anything at this point. Telling us it's not that list of things doesn't help because we all know none of it works. We won't hear what it is from them, or what fws is from zeovit, we have to figure it out for ourselves. After all most things we use in the hobby have their very affordable counterparts or the manufactured expensive reefing versions, that all have their "extra benefits".

I don't expect anybody to say what they used in a proprietary formula - they are in business to make money, and they should be able to. They lied about bacteria being in Vibrant - I had three different people look at some under a microscope and there is none in there. I have no ire for this... they are allowed to not tell us anything. I just wish that they would stay silent (like others).

It is wormwood in a higher concentration along with a few other things like Iodine/Lugols and some other stuff that they are allowed to keep secret. I have some background info from a while back (early this year) when I posted about wormwood working on this board and RC and got a lot of PMs... I will not sell any of these people out.

If we were wrong, then what smart person would post about us being wrong? Just let people chase a dead lead. Nothing protects your product better than a false formula.

Again, I have no issue with them not saying anything.

FWIW - wormwood will kill AEFW dead in a few minutes in high enough of concentrations. They are morons if they did could not kill AEFW with it and I just do not believe this. I have no idea if you want to add this much to your tank. Levamisole (Flatworm Exit) also will kill AEFW - I have done this in my own home... it is just not reef safe at the dosage required, which is a lot. Salifert never admitted to what is in Flatworm Exit - people just figured this out as well. I never tasted any Flatworm Exit. Boyd never admitted what is in Chemiclean, but people figured this out too.

Two people here in town lost a few acropora after Purge treatment. No idea if it is related since I do not have enough info to know for sure. Combine this with a few reported losses on their thread and I would put Purge as a "use with care" treatment and not "totally safe."

Well said, I would dive into using wormwood if I had anything to use it on. I was also alerted by how they said it doesn't work on aefw at all. Kind of makes me think they don't want people to experiment with it, the way it was put. I would also guess the difference in smell could just be what they use to preserve the stuff. Or its that much different because they need it to look that way. Either way it doesn't matter, what matters is if the treatment works, and why it works will eventually be discovered. For the hobby I hope sooner than later.

Thanks jda, yeah not exactly the same. But imo the same. We have been looking for a in tank treatment for decades for aefw. What are the odds that two different companies found two totally different methods of treatment? Also both treatments work in the exact same way, one just a little faster than the other. One takes 1-2 months and the other 4-6 months. Both see a decline in pop and health in coral followed by straggling adults with no eggs.

I'm not interested in debating this further, I was just suggesting that the OP try it because it has worked for many many people.

I'm not here to debate this with you. Thanks

I'm sorry I couldnt even begin to respond to this if I actually wanted to. Let me just state for the record that anything this man says may be influenced by the fact that he drinks aefw treatments.
