Found this one hanging loosely off a cali tort today morning. Is it a AEFW or something else? It was a lot more fluffed up before I took it out of water (almost double the size).

No resistance or difficulty picking it off with tweezers.

It was hanging off the highlighted region.

Looks like a collanista snail but not a flatworm
Hard to tell out of water

Does it have a hard shell or completly soft?
Just looking at the white picture I blew it up to see if there were any more.
Do you know what this is?

I have an abundance of colonista snails that come out at night. This one however did not have a hard shell. It was straighter and fluffier in water.

I kinda freaked out and took it out of water before taking a pic.

That is a radial coralite. Two of them growing close to each other.

No it did not have a hard shell. Completely soft. I am going to put it in a little bit of tank water in a cup and see if it poofs up again.

May be little ciliates but has looks of flatworm such as polyclad

Hard to tell but aptasia not ruled out. If so, you can keep it simple to stop them.
Using syringe, inject either lemon juice or better yet. . kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water into a paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the very center core and it will melt away
